There is an old saying: The only constant is change.
In our personal and business lives, we experience constantly shifting sands of change. People grow, Processes evolve, Technology advances. Same for competitors, economic conditions, regulations, and everything else. Heck, name anything that doesn't change.
So, if we are not constantly growing and adapting to change, then we are falling behind and missing opportunities. While we may know that, we cannot assume that everybody around us personally or professionally is accepting of change. People deal with it differently -- while some embrace it, many will resist it, either intentionally or unintentionally, to maintain the status quo. As a good leader, it is our responsibility to recognize it and use effective Change Management tools to communicate the need and how people can successfully adapt.
Change is all around us.
